Expert land surveying services
We offer a comprehensive range of land and measured survey services for a wide variety of projects across the North West, Cheshire, North Staffordshire and North Wales. Our land surveyors and engineers support residential, commercial and public sector clients, including a diverse range of professionals.
If it can be measured, we’ll measure it. From small to large-scale projects, our accurate reporting and precise measurements can help you stay on schedule, manage costs and achieve your project goals more effectively.
Working with us is a partnership
We believe successful projects need strong, collaborative relationships. Our land surveyors and engineers take a project management approach, so multiple members of our team will always be familiar with your project. This enables us to work closely alongside other professionals and with you as an extension of your project team.
We understand what equipment is best to use in different situations. As land surveyors, we can ensure the right equipment is used in the right way in the correct environment. We make your life easier by taking care of things faster and more efficiently.
Once clients commit to using us they come back time and time again. We are proud that many of our clients have been with us from the start. We’ve had people we’ve worked with for decades and we continue to rise to the new challenges they bring us.
What makes our land survey services different?
Custom solutions
We take a solutions-based approach on every project and our survey services are tailored to each individual client. It’s important for us to take time to listen, so we get to know you and your project requirements. We work to fully understand your priorities, challenges, and the needs and limits of your budget. This enables us to offer a solution that uniquely fits you and your project.
Quality reliable data
Our clients return to us because of our reliability and consistency. We provide quality data, tailoring our approach to our clients’ industries. Take your project forward with confidence that the measurements you require will be timely, precise and legally compliant. We offer peace of mind that your surveys will be completed to high standards.
Clear communication
We have a high level of direct interaction with our clients and always explain our work in language that everyone can understand. We clearly share any updates with you, so you can plan ahead. By coordinating with other parties, we also help to ensure your project complies with legal and regulatory standards, while staying on schedule.
Realistic expectations
We give you honest, realistic expectations about what we can achieve for your project. We don’t just tell you what you want to hear – if we promise to do something, it’s because we can do it. We’re transparent about our availability and how flexible we can be. If there are additional services you need that we don’t offer, we can recommend our trusted partners; we always want to find a way to ensure your project needs are met.
Best value upfront
We’re upfront with you about our costs. The price we provide the first time is always the best we can offer you, so you know you don’t need to spend time negotiating. We offer more than other surveying companies, so you can focus on the parts of your project that really need you.
Varied project expertise
We work across a broad range of projects with everyone from structural engineers and architects to local authorities and estate managers. As a result, we understand our place in the wider project. That’s why we provide you with comprehensive information and data in various formats, so it can be used by multiple parties throughout your project.
Over 25 Years of Land Surveying Experience
1999
Cheshire Surveys was established in 1999 by Jonathan Hilder as a sole trader. The business thrived and established a strong client base from early on.
Starting to grow
In 2003 we expanded with more team members and became a Limited Company. We had built a quality reputation for both topographical surveys and setting out services.
New types of clients
Cheshire Surveys was ready to grow again by 2015. We began to develop and expand our survey services. We started to work with a greater range of clients, including garden designers, private estates and landowners, and larger construction companies.
Embracing changes
Our processes improved thanks to a digital transformation in the business. We also implemented changes to ensure we were compliant with updates in health and safety legislation and finance management.
Modern land surveyors
Today, our surveying expertise ranges from traditional land surveying services right through to complex site engineering setting out services, machine control and 3D ground modelling. We also specialise in the preparation of high quality digital plans to support planning applications, land registry applications and events planning.
We have embraced the digitalisation of our systems, reducing our reliance on paper. We utilise apps and software to manage various aspects of our business. Recognising the importance of staying up to date with IT systems, we have also begun exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can further enhance the efficiency of our back-office processes.
We equip all our surveyors with modern, up-to-date survey equipment and IT equipment to ensure we offer the best, most accurate and efficient service possible.
