About Louise

I specialise in work which involves preparing land registry compliant plans and accurate plans for the purchase or sale of land. I also work on site plans for events, as well as supporting projects at the feasibility stage and with outline planning permission. I’m a qualified Town Planner (RTPI) and Chartered Surveyor (RICS).

Alongside this, I manage the Cheshire Surveys team and our workload, ensuring we’re working efficiently. I’m passionate about providing high quality, friendly, and continuous service. I make sure we have the capacity to meet our clients’ needs and any deadlines. This reliability is key to our good working relationships with clients.

I’m also responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise. Trust and honesty are important to me, as well as good communication – both within our business and with our clients. This enables us to be professional and proactive in dealing with any problems.

I strongly believe that work should be a place where you are happy and fulfilled. I’ve grown my skills across different areas of the business and support our team to develop too. Day-to-day though, I am still inspired by how people interact with their environment. For me, that’s about making a difference for our clients and ensuring their projects become a reality.

Louise's background

I began my career in the private sector at a regeneration consultancy before moving to work for local authorities. I worked as a senior Chartered Town Planner in both local authority and consultancy roles. This involved strategic planning, policy-making, project management, corporate and team management, as well as providing evidence at public planning inquiries.

In 2015 I decided to join Jonathan at Cheshire Surveys and became a co-owner in the business. My background had given me significant knowledge of planning, construction and project management. I had also gained a strong understanding of the challenges and complexities for the commercial, public and private sectors.

Louise’s other passions

I am passionate about promoting women in engineering and construction. I’m also committed to encouraging young people’s interest in STEM subjects. I work with local organisations to help attract young people to the land surveying industry and geotechnical roles.

I love spending time with my two daughters and husband Jonathan at the weekend, and with my closest friends. This is even better when we’re doing something active – I enjoy walking, skiing, paddleboarding and cycling.
